MK Dons are hoping to offer refugee families a range of activities following a recent meeting at MK Stadium between Refugees Welcome Milton Keynes (RWMK) and the MK Dons Sports and Education Trust (MKDSET).
MKDSET’s Dean Dixon and Amy Humphries outlined sporting, educational, family and work-related activities that might interest refugee families and which could start very soon.
Our photo shows (left to right) Marie Gracie, Bassem Al Haj and Catherine Jeffrey of RWMK, and Dean Dixon of MKDSET. Amy Humphries took the picture (thanks Amy!).
Speaking after the meeting, the RWMK team thanked Dean and Amy for talking so enthusiastically about their ideas and acknowledged the help of Dons’ chairman Pete Winkelman for the introduction. Bassem is hoping he can look forward to the appearance of a new football team in MK!
